How you consent to receive texts
When someone shares a link with you, Unassigned sends you one message asking permission.
It contains no link. This is exactly what it says:
"Unassigned: Someone has anonymously shared a link with you. Reply Y to receive it. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help."
Replying Y is your consent to receive SMS text messages from Unassigned at that number.
You will receive only the link shared with you, plus a permission request like the one above if someone
else shares a link with you later. Consent is not a condition of any purchase and is not bundled with
acceptance of any other terms. Msg frequency varies. Msg and data rates may apply.
Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.

What Unassigned is
Unassigned is a link-sharing service operated in the United States. It lets you send a web link to someone by text message without revealing your identity. You are identified only by an anonymous handle such as ASSIGNED123ABC. No account is required.
How consent works
- A sender enters a recipient phone number and a link on this page. The link is held on our server and is not sent.
- The recipient receives one message asking for their consent to receive text messages from Unassigned. This message contains no link.
- The recipient replies Y. That reply is their explicit consent to receive SMS from Unassigned. Only then is the link delivered.
- They immediately receive one message confirming their consent and containing the link.
- If they never reply, nothing further is ever sent. Replying STOP opts the number out permanently and deletes any held link.
This is the exact permission request the recipient receives, before any link is sent:
Unassigned: Someone has anonymously shared a link with you. Reply Y to receive it. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
